Kia ora koutou!
To celebrate Māori Language Week we are offering the Senior Kapa Haka group the opportunity to pick watercress on Wednesday, 3 July
after lunch and cook a Māori 'Boil-Up' on Thursday which will mean
another early morning at 8am if we wanting to be eating before they go
home.
We are covering so much in this activity: English, Numeracy, Horticulture, Health, Māori Culture and Life Skills.
It would be great if the students could bring an apron and a potato peeler with them on Thursday, 4 July
Below is a link to a recipe we will be more or less following:

Please email me with your permission to take your child
to Rutherford Road on Wednesday to collect watercress. Some of our kids
have Rippa on this day but they can join in on Thursday.
If there is anyone who would be able to transport kids to and from the end of Rutherford Road, we would be very grateful.
Do not hesitate to email me should you require further information.
Finally
thank you all so much for your fantastic support last week. The
students had a fabulous day on Friday. I have video footage of their
dance and sasa on the Kapa Haka Blog:
