KARAKIA CHALLENGE FOR KAPA HAKA FOR THE SENIOR PERFORMANCE ROOPU

A five minute challenge will be held each week in roopu o whare to see which roopu can learn both the starting and ending Kapa Haka Karakia off by heart.

Karakia Timatanga (Start)

E te Atua,
ka timata tatou i nga mahi kapa haka,
ka huri tenei wa ki a koe.

God,
we are beginning our Kapa haka,
we turn all that we do over to you.

Karakia Whakamutunga (End)

E te Atua,
kua mutu tatou i ngā mahi kapa haka,
kia tau tou rangimarie kei  mātou.

God,
we have finished our Kapa haka,
may your peace rest gently upon us.
