Nau mai, haere mai ki a Whāea Sefo ki te Kapa Haka Rōpu o te kura 0 Arrowtown!! 

Welcome to Mrs Sefo to the Kapa Haka group of Arrowtown School.

Ae! We are very lucky to have Whāea Sefo assisting with our rōpu this year to compete in the Putangitangi Competition during term 4 in Waiohopai (Invercargill).

We have lots of exciting things planned for this year should your tamaiti(child) want to join one of the two Kapa Haka groups this year:

 

Junior Kapa Haka - Year 3 - 5

Senior Kapa Haka - Year 6 - 8

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN JOINING ONE OF THE GROUPS THIS YEAR, COME ALONG TO THE PERFORMING ARTS ROOM:

RĀPARE, 1.30pm(after lunch) 28 Hui-tanguru 2013

Plans for the year so far: 

 

1) Lucky Dip Fundraiser-Week 5, Term 1(Open to every child in the school)

    

WIN A RETURN FLIGHT FOR TWO PEOPLE TO EITHER:

    MELBOURNE / SYDNEY / GOLD COAST AUSTRALIA

$5.00 will put you in the lucky dip draw to Australia! How about that?

Keep an eye on the blog/next school newsletter to purchase lucky dip tickets!

The proceeds of this fundraiser will go towards travel / costumes / accessories for the rōpu.

2) We will select 20-25 tamariki to stay overnight on a Dunedin marae in   term 2.

3)  Overnight stays in our hall to learn the waiata-a-ringa / haka / poi  

4) Rāngatahi from a Dunedin High School will be coming over to take a day workshop with our Kapa Haka tamariki.
